Debate with kid ended with conclusion: Instead of saying I'm inside a room, I should also be able to say the room is outside of me.

Staying downshifted into both the recent past and familial history for that full 2.75 week stretch had done a number on my then fragile, and quite unstable, mental health.

My first day back at work since getting the news...
